Of course! Many of our fencers started fencing here at UF with no experience.

Do you only recruit freshman?

No! Recruitment is open to any year! Most of our fencers start during their freshman year, however that should not discourage you from joining.

What should I wear to practice?

Wear athletic clothes, and comfortable sneakers.

Are there any club dues?

No! Instead we require our fencers to participate in fundraisers and volunteer. There are many opportunities throughout the semester for our fencers to do so.

Will I be able to travel?

Our fencers are able to choose to fence competitively or recreationally.
