Grace Riley is a fourth-year Digital Arts and Sciences major and an épée fencer. This is her third year as part of the leadership team of the club she’s loved since her freshman year, and when she hasn’t been fencing she’s been making art and developing video games.
Nicholas Van Nimwegen is a 3rd Year mathematics major. After 10 years in various unarmed martial arts, he decided to pick up a saber and finally live out his pirate dreams.
Chris Wolf is a Senior business management major with a minor in economics. He fences épée. His grandfather fenced foil for the US in the 1960 Rome Olympics.
Madeline Stewart is a junior Sabre fencer majoring in political science and sustainability, and minoring in environmental science, French, and international sustainable development and humanitarian assistance. As her academic load indicates, she's a chronic workaholic that also loves money, so now she's the treasurer of the club. If she's not fencing or crunching numbers, she's in the woods or petting a lovely dog.
Lela Myers is a third-year advertising and English double major. She is a sabre fencer and the face behind all of our social media accounts. Lela is originally from Colorado and is pursuing a combination degree to get her Master's in mass communication.
Alice Rozet is a second-year information systems major and an épée fencer. Some fun facts about Alice are that she’s from New York City, has a twin brother, and is bilingual.
Charlotte Sanders is a third-year chemistry and classics double major and an épée fencer. She is spending a full year at the University of Glasgow as part of an exchange program.
Bea Covert is a junior studying agricultural and biological engineering. They primarily fence épée, but also earned a bronze foil team medal at SIFA last year. Benaloves to garden and cook in their free time.
Carlos Sanchez is a second-year épée fencer. He is majoring in psychology on a premed track. He has never seen Harry Potter or Star Wars.
Kat Akulova is a third-year health science major and Russian minor. Some fun facts about her is that she moved to the United States when she was 8 years old from Russia, she is bilingual, enjoys photography, and loves cats.
Brian Seol is a third-year biomedical engineering major. He fences sabre. His interests include dogs and weightlifting.
Francis Orozco is a second-year electrical engineering major and a rated foil fencer. His favorite food is bacon.
Arman Chowdhury is a second-year electrical engineering major. He is in his second year of fencing. His favorite fencer is Bryce Louie!
Grace Pickens is a third-year anthropology major and a foil fencer from Tampa, Florida. Prior to joining the fencing team, she had never been out of Florida. In just two semesters, she traveled to 8 different states with the fencing team.
Madeleine McCreary is a junior in biomedical engineering, and she absolutely adores being part of the Fencing Team. She's played violin for over 10 years (taken a bit of a hiatus recently but it’s okay) and is currently an RA at UF.
