How do I join?

At the beginning of every semester we hold an interest meeting for new fencers. If you can't make that, come to practice and tell someone you're new!

Do I need to have experience?

No! Most of our fencers have no experience before joining the club.

Do I need to purchase equipment?

No! The club has a fully stocked closet for members to use.

What's the difference between the weapons?

Épée only scores with the tip, and can hit anywhere on the body. Foil scores only with the tip and can only hit the torso. Sabre scores with the entire blade and scores from the waist up. You'll have a chance to try them all.

When is practice?

Monday - Wednesday - Sunday

4-6 pm @ the Student Rec and Fitness Center Basketball Courts

(4-5 for newbies, 5-6 for veterans)

Friday

3-5 pm @ Student Recreation Activity Room 2
